The brand name 'WillC™' is captured from the address of Parsons the New School for design’s New York dormitory: 84 William St. 11C, where the founder, ByungGun Kim captured the sense of design to become a designer. at the same time, it connotes ‘you will see.’ that expresses the confidence to present sensation in the luxury bag field.
Our philosophy aims to create artisan quality bags. Pursuing the importance of fine materials, attention to precious craftsmanship, and use of innovative details. All aspects of the production process from design to completion are given immense attention.
ByungGun Kim, Founder
ByungGun is a founder of bag brand WillC™ and an online multi shop Miu&Hugh™. His major career path was business management but he switched to design industry while studying fashion marketing in Parsons the New School for Design, New York.
After graduating from school, he worked as a production manager at Prina Design House, New York and co-worked with Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Thakoon, Polo Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Tory Burch, and PHI. Now, he became an owner of a designer bag brand and has ability to make bags by his own skillful hands. he loves to work with natural leather and classic saddle stitching technique.
San Lee, Creative Director
San was born in South Korea and developed a passion for design while studying in United Kingdom and Unite States. He granted BFA Communication design from Parsons the New School for Design. After spending several years living and working in New York, he is now based back in Seoul but continues to work internationally. San loves to create graphic identities that have a strong system and unique quality.
San recently worked with Quick spirits New York, Global Peace Festival Foundation Washington D.C, Samsung Insurance, Coffee Crowd, and an artist JungLim Lee as an independent multi–disciplinary designer. While working for WillC's graphic identity and bags, San said: "Follow the rules of the core product concept to create unified look for brand and bags."
Nicole Palmer, Director of Business Development
Nicole joined WillC in January 2012 during the Hong Kong fashion week. She was born in South Korea then was raised in several countries throughout Asia while growing up. For the last 14 years she has lived in Hong Kong and spent her summers at Cape Cod, USA. Having this unique upbringing has enabled Nicole to speak multiple languages and create a vast international network.
She works as an interpreter for various agencies in Hong Kong including the HKSAR Government, and owns two companies. One is a private label handbag company called "Nicole Liu" and the other is a sports tape company called "Action Tape". Although very busy and called an "industrial woman" by her friends, she is also a proud mother and wife.
